PING Pros Bubba Watson, Lee Westwood and Maria Hjorth all had victories Sunday, and key #1 rankings were secured in the process.
Watson birdied the second hole in sudden death at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans to claim his second victory of the season. (He joins PING Pro Mark Wilson as the only multiple winners on Tour this year.) Watson moved to #1 in the FedExCup points standings. He also became #1 on Tour in GIR and is a close second on the money list.
Westwood birdied three of the last five holes to win the Ballantine’s Championship in Korea for his second consecutive title, helping him keep his #1 world ranking. PING Pro Miguel Angel Jimenez finished second, one shot behind Westwood.
Maria Hjorth won her fifth LPGA title with a commanding 5-under 67 for a two-shot margin at the Avnet LPGA Classic in Alabama. It was the 17th win worldwide for S56 irons.
